I have learned so much thought the course of this semester it is challenging to put it all into words. From this experience I have been exposed to new technology resources such as Glogster, Google reader, rss feeds, and voice thread. Through collaboration in Google Docs I have discovered the limitless possibilities of collaboration across grade levels, content areas, time zones, and even continents. The utilization of voice thread adds a new dimension to online discussion, collaboration, and debate possibilities. The importance of reflection and documentation of the journey through the course experience using WordPress has endless possibilities in the development of professional learning communities. Using tools like Glogster and TikiToki to create visual representations of events over time that allow for embedding multiple media types also has many attributes that lend themselves to project based classroom assessments of student learning.
Though this experience and the journey along the way I have learned to become an evaluator of technology, a collaborator using technology, a better integrator of it with a larger tool box , its implementation in schools, and what supports are necessary for its success over time.
