One of this weeks task is to explore professional organizations surrounding Educational Technology. I have explored the AECT site, which I am currently considering becoming a member of. I recently became a member of ISTE, or the International Society for Technology in Education, this past December at the Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference. What I like about this organization is the vast amount of special interest groups available within the realm of Technology used in education.
After viewing the Glogster introduction slideshow I am excited to delve in and explore the possibilities of this innovative web 2.0 tool. I have played around with it a little bit to see what it can do. As a result, I have decided to use it in class tomorrow.
As the week has progressed, I have been incorporating Glogster into my classroom lessons to get to know the features. However, for the purpose of this weeks assignment I found the free version of the software didn’t meet my needs. As a result I have chosen to create my project on the evolution of educational technology in Tiki-Toki. This was my first experience using this interactive timeline development program. I hope that you enjoy the multi-media approach to the exploration of the evolution of educational technology.
